Kirsehir software partner: enterprise software for SMEs, industrial zones and agriculture

For a furniture workshop, a casting or metal manufacturer, a supplier bidding in public tenders or a company processing walnuts and grain in Kirsehir (Kırşehir), the software problem usually comes down to the same thing: orders live in spreadsheets, production in notebooks, documents in folders and field information on phones. Finding the right Kirsehir software is therefore less about buying a new package and more about bringing those scattered records into a single workflow. For SMEs with limited IT staff, the right step is not to change everything at once but to start with the process that wastes the most time.

This guide is written for manufacturers in Kirsehir OSB, the Kaman and Mucur OSBs (organised industrial zones) and the small industrial estates, as well as public-sector suppliers and agricultural businesses. Aksiyon Soft is headquartered in Samsun; we have no branch or office in Kirsehir. We deliver remotely and schedule on-site visits around the project plan for critical steps such as discovery, acceptance and go-live.

In short

  • Industry and agriculture carry a large weight in Kirsehir’s economy; according to AHİKA’s investment guide, 29% of GDP came from industry and 20% from agriculture in 2021.
  • According to the guide, 396 industrial businesses employ 7,805 people, so the average business is SME-sized; furniture, food and rubber-plastics stand out, creating a need for a light but integrated ERP.
  • For suppliers bidding in public tenders, a document management system that handles bid files, contracts and progress-payment documents saves time.
  • In Kaman walnuts, grain and livestock, field records should be captured in a mobile app and passed to the central system through a middleware layer.
  • Aksiyon Soft works remotely with Kirsehir companies from its Samsun headquarters; there is no branch claim and site visits are planned.

How does Kirsehir’s economy shape its software needs?

According to the investment guide prepared by the Kirsehir Investment Support Office of the Ahiler Development Agency (AHİKA), the province has a population of 242,944, and 2021 TurkStat data show that 29% of GDP comes from industry and 20% from agriculture, compared with about 6% for agriculture nationally. The guide states that as of 2021 the province had 396 industrial businesses: 41 in OSBs, 211 in small industrial estates and 144 outside these areas, employing 7,805 people in total.

According to the same guide, the leading sectors are furniture, food and rubber-plastics, and there are 72 furniture manufacturers in the province. Larger businesses are concentrated in tyres, casting, flour, feed, mining, furniture and food, while recent investment has gone into grain and pulse cleaning and packing, metal, casting and geothermal greenhouses. The Kirsehir Governorate also lists small industrial estates in Merkez, Boztepe, Mucur, Kaman and Çiçekdağı.

Location matters too: according to the guide, Kirsehir is 186 km from Ankara, 134 km from Kayseri, 85 km from Cappadocia Airport and 356 km from Mersin Port. Kirsehir OSB covers 185 hectares with 121 parcels, and Kaman OSB is 110 km from Ankara. For manufacturers supplying parts or products to major companies outside the province, this means orders, dispatch and e-documents have to run without interruption.

How should manufacturers in OSBs and industrial estates choose an ERP?

Furniture and make-to-order production

Furniture manufacturers usually work to order: dimensions, fabric, colour and accessories change with every order. The ERP has to turn these variants into a bill of materials (BOM), create cutting and assembly work orders, and calculate delivery dates against capacity. If an off-the-shelf package lacks this flexibility, adding a custom order configurator alongside the core ERP is often the most balanced route.

Casting, metal and tyre suppliers

For casting and metal manufacturers, lot and heat-treatment records, quality measurements and customer specifications are critical. A company supplying a major manufacturer must be able to show within minutes which raw material batch went into which shipment when a complaint arrives. That traceability comes from linking data from the production screen to ERP stock and the e-dispatch note through the same lot number.

Why does document management matter for public tender suppliers?

EKAP, run by the Public Procurement Authority (KİK), is the electronic platform where public tenders and direct procurement notices are published. A supplier that bids regularly works with qualification documents, work experience certificates, technical specifications, contracts and progress-payment paperwork. If the validity dates of these documents are not tracked, a bid can be disqualified because of a missing or expired document.

A document management system stores every document with its version, owner, validity date and the related tender or contract. It raises alerts for documents nearing expiry, prepares the bid file from a template and records the approval flow. Knowledge then sits in a central archive accessed by permission rather than on a single employee’s computer.

Middleware and system integration

A typical Kirsehir SME runs an accounting package, a few spreadsheets, a connection to the Revenue Administration (GİB) through a private integrator, the bank and often a messaging group. When a new ERP or document system is added, wiring them to each other one by one produces a structure that is hard to maintain. Middleware binds every system to a single message contract and centrally manages the order and rules by which data moves.

Concrete Kirsehir scenarios include creating the ERP work order and the accounting entry exactly once with the same idempotency key when a furniture order is approved; queueing and retrying e-dispatch and e-invoice requests when GİB is slow after a shipment closes; syncing harvest records from the field app once a connection is available; and linking the file in the document system to the project code in accounting when a tender contract is signed. According to GİB’s e-document site, an e-invoice is an XML document in the UBL-TR standard transmitted over a central platform.

For architectural detail, see our article on enterprise integration middleware architecture; for the basics, our what is middleware? guide; and for the e-document format, our piece on the GİB UBL-TR update.

How do agriculture and field operations go digital?

According to the province profile of the Kirsehir Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, about 65% of the working population is employed in agriculture, and the province has 454,720 hectares of cultivated land. The ministry’s Kirsehir Agricultural Investment Guide notes that Kaman walnuts and Cemele peppers carry geographical indications and that the province meets about 7% of Türkiye’s red meat demand. AHİKA’s guide also lists “Kırşehir eti” (Kirsehir meat) among the province’s brands.

In the field, the need is to enter parcel and orchard records, spraying and fertilising schedules, harvest quantities and sales from a phone. Because connectivity in rural areas is not always reliable, the mobile app must work offline and send data to the centre once a connection is available. For geographically indicated products, batch and origin records are also the foundation for meeting buyers’ traceability demands.

The Ahiler Development Agency’s film on Kaman walnuts (in Turkish) shows the chain from orchard to sale for a geographically indicated product.

How does a remote enterprise software partnership work?

Our model with Kirsehir companies rests on written scope, regular demos and a transparent backlog. Discovery sessions start over video and work through a process map, a system inventory and sample documents such as order forms, work orders and tender files. When we need to see the real workflow in a workshop or in the field, we schedule a site visit.

Day-to-day collaboration continues remotely with a shared backlog and weekly status summaries. For other provinces in the region, read our guides to an Ankara enterprise software partner, a Kayseri software partner and Aksaray enterprise software; for neighbours in the same development region, see the Nevsehir enterprise software partner guide and our Nigde software guide.

Checklist: before starting a software project in Kirsehir

  • Have you chosen and prioritised the process that wastes the most time (orders, production, documents, field)?
  • Do you know the data export options of your accounting package and private integrator?
  • Are the documents you use in public tenders and their validity dates collected in one place?
  • Is it written down where the lot or batch number is created and which documents it travels to?
  • Have you defined what the field team will enter from their phones and what happens without a connection?
  • Have you set a date outside the busy season for user training and go-live?

How can Aksiyon Soft help?

Through our enterprise software solutions we move your order, production and document processes onto a single operations dashboard. With our API and integration service we build the middleware for accounting, GİB, bank and field app connections. For bid and contract archives, see the enterprise document management platform, and for field teams the field operations and workflow management platform.

The delivery model is clear: a discovery and scope document, a prioritised MVP (for example only the document archive or the order-to-work-order flow), working software demos in two-week sprints, a hypercare period after go-live and then SLA-backed maintenance. The team is in Samsun and works remotely with customers in Kirsehir and across Türkiye. When evaluating proposals, you can use the questions in our guide on how to choose a software company.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have an office in Kirsehir?

No. Our headquarters is in Samsun and we have no branch or reseller in Kirsehir. We deliver remotely and make planned site visits for steps such as discovery and go-live.

Is enterprise software too much for a small business?

Not if the scope is chosen well. A small MVP that starts with a single process, such as orders and work orders, can go live within a few sprints; other modules are added as the need arises.

Do we have to replace our accounting program?

Usually not. If the accounting package offers data export or an interface, it is connected through middleware; replacement only comes up if the program provides no data at all.

How do you move our tender documents into a digital archive?

First the document types, owners and validity rules are mapped. Existing files are then classified and uploaded, and alerts and approval flows are set up for documents nearing expiry.

Does the field app work without internet?

Yes, if required by the scope it is designed to work offline. Records are kept on the device, sent to the centre when a connection is available, and conflicts are resolved by rules.

Who owns the source code and the data?

This is settled in the contract; in enterprise projects the aim is to hand the source code over to the customer and keep data in the environment the customer chooses. KVKK (Turkish data protection) obligations are addressed during discovery.
